Your fingerprints are submitted to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI. WE DO NOT RECEIVE A COPY OF THE BACKGROUND CHECK RESULTS – B.S.I.S. will receive that information.
The live-scan operator will provide you with an ATI # that can be used to track your fingerprints. The ATI # is located at the bottom of your Live-Scan form and always appears in the following sequence:
1 LETTER; 3 NUMBERS; 3 LETTERS and 3 NUMBERS. Example: G277DST522
To check the status of your Live-Scan, call (916) 227-4557. You will need your ATI # & date of birth.
AVERAGE time for Background clearance is 3-6 weeks.

Your permit(s) will be processed/issued ONLY after you paid ALL of your fees & completed a Live Scan.
